I'm getting a little invested in the ABC "V" remake and it's mostly because of Morena Baccarin's Anna. I always thought she was cute in Firefly, but then she cut her hair and notched herself up in my estimation. Now we can bask in the glory that is her neck!

Happy Self Portrait Day

Well it's Self Portrait day at conceptart.org and I figured that this would be a good year to participate. I was too lazy to draw what I was actually wearing, so I made something up. Weee!

After a couple of long days of coding and BS, I decided to unwind with a caricature attempt at yours truly. I made it entirely too flattering, but such is life.

Well, we'll file this one under "Epic Fail" as far as likeness is concerned. I was trying to combine the face and hair from a couple of different references in my previous rough sketch, but that wasn't working at all. For a while this was looking like Cynthia Nixon's lesbian lover, so I'm glad I worked out that particular kink.

Semi-Caricature in Progress

Trying to squeeze this one under the wire in its extremely rough state. It's eventually going to be Em from Drawingboard.org. At the moment...well, not so much. This gives a pretty good idea of how I rough sketch these sorts of things in a couple of minutes for what it's worth.

We'll see what tomorrow looks like.
